As of Tuesday, November 22, there will be just 100 days to go before the opening of Bristol's brand new, leisure facility: Hengrove Park Leisure Centre.

Construction of Hengrove Plaza, a new £1.2 million public space linking the new Hengrove leisure centre and south Bristol community hospital with Hengrove open space and play park commences in June, when land on the adjacent open space is temporarily fenced off to enable landscaping works including new paths to be carried out.
An exciting contemporary designed accessible space, the plaza will include a café terrace for the new leisure centre, space for events, newly commissioned public artworks and a dramatic landform planted with semi-mature trees. The Plaza and the new Leisure centre will open simultaneously to the public in early 2012.
